“Pedaling in Pink,” now in its 4th edition, is included in the series of events dedicated to ‘Pink October,’ the month of awareness for the presentation of female cancers.
This year the ride will start from Biade Square at 8 a.m. (Vicenza), passing through the towns of Dueville, Sandrigo, Colceresa, Pianezze, and Marostica. The route is flat and suitable for everyone for a tot.of 55 km. During the route we will be escorted by Italian Police Motorcycles and a videomaker will make an engaging video to share on social channels. On the way back we will ride to Parco della Pace in Vicenza where we will arrive around 11.45/12.
Here, in addition to a refreshment point, there will be an important speech by the administration and some Cancer Doctors who will speak on the importance of prevention.
The day was strongly desired by Loretta Pavan, a Vicenza cyclist, former patient and testimonial of the Friends of the Fifth Floor Group. The Group was born from the desire to propose activities related to culture, wellness, nutrition and promotion of patients’ rights, to support oncology patients, former patients, their families and friends with active involvement. The Friends of the Fifth Floor has always supported the San Bortolo Foundation, with which a climate of deep cooperation and esteem has been established .
